In just two years Breakin’ Convention’s Park Jam has earned a reputation as one of the UK’s realest hip-hop events. Taking things back to the roots of the culture, this jam is suitable for the whole family. A funk-filled, open-air dance, music and art extravaganza and like all of the best things in life, this event is free! This year features were attributed to the UK’s first generation of hip hop with a Naughty 40s special.

The collaboration between Breaking Convention and Naughty 40s was so hype seeing some of the first generation bboys & bgirls getting down doing their thing still been a part of the hip-hop scene was truly amazing & long awaited. There were many faces & many names that hip-hop had seemed to forget about. Back in the days hip-hop was truly a lifesaver.

Now having the pleasure to see the younger bboys and B-girl getting down along side the pioneers, felt like this was the missing link to hip hops fruits, on this day the roots were been watered and this made the scene feel replenished. Cleary putting the sprite back into the game that as been put through wash of trails and tribulations of separation and misinformation about true hip hop culture.
